Air Conditioner Repairs and Breakdowns

Air conditioners always seem to give up on the hottest day of the year. If yours is not cooling, not heating, leaking water, making strange noises or flashing an error code, give Barney a call.

With 20 years in air conditioning and refrigeration, Barney has seen most faults before, and he leads a small team at Epiq Air. We will find the problem, explain it in plain English and give you your options before any work starts.

Brands we repair

We repair Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric and Actron Air, and we work on all brands of split and ducted systems.

Honest advice on repair or replace

Sometimes a repair is the right call. Sometimes the system is old, the part is expensive and you would be better off putting that money towards a new unit. We will give you a straight answer either way, so you can make the decision that suits you.

Refrigerant work done properly

Refrigerant leaks and regassing must be handled by a licensed technician. Epiq Air holds ARCtick licence AU52654, so refrigerant work is done properly and legally.

Before you call

A few quick checks can save you a callout:

  • Check the remote batteries and that it is set to the right mode

  • Check the circuit breaker in your switchboard

  • Check and clean the filters

If none of those help, turn the system off and call us.

Response times

We work Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, and do our best to get to breakdowns quickly. After hours work is available by arrangement.
