Ducted Air Conditioning
Ducted air conditioning cools or heats the whole home from one quiet system, with discreet vents in the ceiling or floor and a single controller on the wall. It is a bigger job than a split system, so it pays to have it planned and installed by someone who knows what they are doing.
Barney is the owner and a tech with 20 years in air conditioning and refrigeration. He leads a small team at Epiq Air and stands behind every ducted system we install.
Brands we install
We install ducted systems from Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric and Actron Air. We will help you pick the right capacity and features for your home and budget, not just the biggest unit on the list.
Zoning
Zoning lets you cool or heat only the areas you are using, such as the living area during the day and the bedrooms at night. It can make a big difference to running costs and comfort. We will talk through a zoning layout that suits how your household actually lives.
New builds, renovations and existing homes
Ducted works best when it is planned early, so if you are building or renovating, get in touch before the ceilings go in. We also retrofit ducted systems into existing homes where there is enough roof or subfloor space. We will check access and tell you honestly if ducted is the right fit or if split systems would make more sense.
What to expect
Site visit. We measure up, check the roof space and talk about zones and controller options.

Install. We install the indoor and outdoor units, run and seal the ductwork, fit the vents and commission the system.
Hand over. We show you how to use the controller and zones, and set you up with a service plan if you want one.
Already have ducted?
We also service and repair existing ducted systems, including Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric and Actron Air.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a ducted install take?
Most ducted installs take 8 to 10 hours, depending on the size of the home, roof access and the number of zones.
Is ducted better than split systems?
Not always. Ducted suits whole home comfort and a clean look. Split systems can be better value for a few rooms. We will tell you which makes more sense for your home.
Do you service ducted systems you did not install?
Yes. We service and repair ducted systems from all brands.
